Fifth Workshop on Principles and Methods of Statistical Inference with Interval Probability

Munich, 10 - 15 September 2012

The Working Group Methodological Foundations of Statistics and their Applications at the Department of Statistics, Ludwig-Maximilians University Munich (LMU), organizes a workshop on principles and methods of statistical inference with interval probability. This workshop is a follow-up to four earlier WPMSIIPs held in Durham (2008, 2010), Ljubljana (2011) and Munich (2009).

The workshop runs from Monday the 10th of September until Saturday the 15th of September 2012. Each of the five workdays of the workshop will start at 09:00 a.m. and will be focused on a specific topic. On Saturday the 15th an excursion is planned. The major aim of the workshop is to stimulate discussion on ongoing research, therefore especially the afternoons are structured very informally. For an outline of the tentative programme, see Programme.

Everyone, including PhD students, is welcome to participate and / or to present their views on one or more of the covered topics, on one or more days! We welcome any stimulating contribution, ranging from a presentation to a short informal statement. If you want to join the workshop, please contact Marco Cattaneo or Georg Schollmeyer and the organisers of the specific day(s) that you would like to contribute to. Participation in the workshop is free, we may have to ask for a small contribution to cover the expenses for the refreshments.

  • Those arriving on sunday are welcome to join us for an informal get together at 19:00 (7 pm)
at "Alter Simpl" (Türkenstraße, 57 80799 München)
